2021 CABTINA GIRLAN ALTO ADIGE PINOT BLANCO - Alto Adige
Wines from isolated, mountainous pockets of the world can be exhilarating discoveries for those seeking new drinking experiences. The Alto Adige in Italy’s remote, mountainous north is perhaps the quirkiest high-altitude region going. Yes, you are technically in Italy, but forget about pasta, tanned youths on Vespas and your high school Italian. This is the Südtirol, a stone’s throw from the Austrian and Swiss borders and encircled by the saw-toothed Dolomite Mountains. Südtirol is the German name (South Tyrol in English), as the region borders Austria’s Tyrol state to the north. A wide range of grape varieties have long been grown here and intense aromatics, fresh acidity, and spiciness run through all the best wines.
2020 EREDI DI COBELLI ALDO 'LINZERA' CHARDONNAY - Alto Adige
Trentino DOC is made using 100% Chardonnay grapes. It is harvested strictly by hand and very quickly it is destemmed and pressed. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation is performed in third passage oak barrels where it stays for a further 10 months. The Cobelli Chardonnay is transferred to stainless steel for four months until bottling.
Eredi di Cobelli Aldo Chardonnay is an Intensly bright golden yellow colour. On the nose notes of candied citrus, ripe yellow peach, vanilla, woody and white pepper, with notes of acacia honey and very intense fresh chalk minerality. The Chardonnay is a structured, soft and elegant wine with a surprising freshness and minerality on the finish.
2020 FALKENSTEIN (organic) ANADÛRON Riesling - Alto Adige
“anadûron” is the Celtic name of Naturns, and it means “swamp settlement”. The selection is a tribute to our native town of Naturns and the Adige Valley.
Taste: Orange peel, peach and apricot aroma, round flavour and good finish; acidity and mineral tones
2020 LA TUNELLA REFOSCO - Friuli
Refosco is an ancient family of dark skinned Italian grape varieties native to Northern Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. The La Tunella Refosco is broad, rich, and intense, anchored by fruit and spice notes, wild blackberry, raspberry, cocoa, and tobacco. A full, dry body with substantial structure and a slightly bitter aftertaste.
2019 MASI ‘BONACOSTA’ VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO - Verona
Grape varieties - Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara.
tasting notes- : medium intensity cherry red.
Nose - intense bouquet with ripe cherry aromas. Palate: fresh with good acidity, soft and silky tannins. Cherries are the dominant flavour, with hints of vanilla.
2020 MARINA COPPI ‘ SAINT’ANDREA’ BARBERA - Piemonte
This wine is named after the locality of Sant’Andrea in our village of Castellania. In fact, at n° 5 of via Sant’Andrea, which is close to the centre of our hamlet, you will find our Vigne Marina Coppi winery.
This is predominately a Barbera with a harmoniously small percentage of Croatina. Its semplicity, the intensity of its bouquet and its pleasantness to the palate make this young red wine pleasant to drink, even when served at a low temperature.
