NV COURABYRA Brut ‘1 of 11’ (Limited) - Tumbarumba NSW
1 of 11 N/V Sparkling Brut blend is 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch pressed. This wine base was put through a full malolatic fermentation. The wines were individually barrel fermented before blending and have spent at least 3 years on Lees. The colour is bright with a straw hue. The bouquet is fresh, displaying white blossom and citrus, but showing complexity that is mellow and biscuity from the time on Lees. Dominated by citrus flavours, the juicy lemon and grapefruit are balanced with the subtlety of white stone fruits and berries. The bead is crisp, clean and of pure fruit flavours that you would expect to find in high altitude wines. It has a lovely dry finish.
