2023 FIGHTING GULLY ROAD Pinot Noir - Beechworth, Victoria
Another cool growing season and vintage following on from the equally cool and wet 2020/21 season. The conditions were perfect for the development and gradual maturation of Pinot Noir at the Fighting Gully Road site.
This wine was made from two clones (114 and MV6) and comprises a whole bunch component, which was fermented separately using maceration carbonique.
Each component was matured separately in new (40%) and seasoned Italian coopered French oak 500 litre puncheons prior to blending and bottling in early February 2023.
